    The three starts is ONLY for the actual pieces - These concertos aren't anywhere near as great of pieces as Mozart or Beethoven's Piano Concertos. In fact, I was a piano major in college, and this was my first time listening to them. Hopefully, over time, they'll grow on me. Emanuel Ax's performance is superb, but Haydn's Piano Concertos: They /5(10).

    Emanuel Ax, pianist. Born in modern day Lvov, Poland, Emanuel Ax moved to Winnipeg, Canada, with his family when he was a young boy.
